La Jolla Symphony Orchestra at SummerFest – Thursday, August 14, 2008, 7:30 pm
The orchestra joins the roster at SummerFest's free, open-air concert at the La Jolla Cove in August, performing Copland's "Clarinet Concerto" with soloist John Bruce Yeh from the Chicago Symphony and Bartok's "Romanian Dances."

The La Jolla Symphony Chorus and five other community and church choruses gather for the choral event of the year as we host legendary choral conductor Alice Parker for a rousing concert and public sing-along. Gala 2008 – It Don't Mean a Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing)! – Saturday, November 8, 2008, 5:30 pm

NEW SACRED VOICES SERIES
The chorus performs rare and dramatic motets from all eras including Tallis's "Spem Alium" for eight 5-part choirs and Bach's double-chorus motet, "Singet dem Herm" among other works.
